Ethylene-Propylene Copolymers:
- Cut into small pieces
- Add dry polymer when oil temperature reaches 100°C
- Maintain oil temperature at 120–130°C for 8–12 hours (varies by equipment) until viscosity stabilizes
Styrene-Isoprene Polymers:
- Grind dry polymer into particles/powder (<1 cm)
- Add dry polymer when oil temperature reaches 100°C
- Maintain oil temperature at 130–140°C for 8–12 hours (varies by equipment) until viscosity stabilizes
