EPR Ethylene Propylene Rubber J0010

EPR Ethylene Propylene Rubber EPR Oil Additive J0010

Premium Binary EPDM for High-Performance Lubricants

J0010 is a premium EPR ethylene propylene rubber polymerized by ethylene and propylene. It is primarily used in blending high-grade internal combustion engine oils. This advanced EPR ethylene propylene rubber appears as a white transparent colloid and is solid at normal temperature.

  • Excellent thickening capacity
  • Superior shear stability and thermal oxidation stability
  • Good compatibility with all functional additives and pour point depressants
  • Improves the low temperature property of oil
  • Excellent oil solubility

Product Introduction

EPR Ethylene Propylene Rubber  J0010  is a binary EPDM elastomer engineered for superior solubility and shear stability in demanding lubricant formulations. It has a controlled molecular weight distribution, it delivers exceptional oxidation resistance and low-temperature performance without requiring degradation pretreatment. Key applications include premium engine oils, industrial lubricants, and bio-based fluid systems.

Low MW & Narrow Distribution (MW ≈ 42,000): Enables 30% faster dissolution in Group III-V base oils vs. standard EPDM.

SSI ≤25 (ASTM D6278): Minimizes viscosity loss in high-pressure hydraulic systems and gearboxes.

Withstands 150°C continuous service (ΔTAN <1.0 mgKOH/g @ 1,000h ASTM D943).

Glass transition temperature (Tg) -60°C: Maintains elasticity in arctic applications.

Vanadium ≤10 ppm, zero heavy metals: REACH/ECHA Annex XVII compliant.

Application

Engine Oils:
API CF-4/SN-PLUS formulations (40% lower deposit vs. conventional EPDM in Sequence IIIG).

Bio-Lubricants:
ISO 15380 HEES hydraulic fluids (compatible with rapeseed/ester bases).

Industrial Gear Oils:
ISO 12925 CKD/CKM grades for wind turbines (FZG scuffing ≥Stage 12).

Food-Grade Greases:
NSF H1-registered compressor greases (EU No 10/2011 compliant).

Marine Hydraulics:
Saltwater-resistant systems (DNV GL-OS-E407 certified).

Recommended Dosage

0.5–3.0% (adjust per base oil viscosity and performance targets).
