PIB Polyisobutylene Adhesive PIB1300

PIB Polyisobutylene Adhesive 1300 Viscosity Index Improver Additives PIB1300

Ultra-High Tack Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Polymer

PIB1300 is a premium PIB polyisobutylene adhesive with stable chemical properties. This non-volatile liquid will not form residues after high-temperature volatilization or thermal decomposition. This specialized PIB polyisobutylene adhesive has excellent thermal oxidation performance, is impermeable to water vapor and other gases, is hydrophobic, and has good shear resistance.

  • Exceptional thermal oxidation performance
  • Impermeable to water vapor and gases
  • Hydrophobic properties
  • Superior shear resistance
  • No residue formation after high-temperature exposure

PIB1300 can be used for hydraulic oil, gear oil, drawing oil, quenching oil and as a thickener for various materials.

Product Introduction

PIB1300 is a medium molecular weight polyisobutylene (Mn: 1200-1375) engineered for premium pressure-sensitive adhesives requiring exceptional tack, cohesion, and aging resistance. With controlled molecular architecture and narrow polydispersity (PDI ≤1.5), it delivers superior bond strength across extreme temperatures (-40°C to 120°C) while maintaining REACH/ECHA compliance. Critical applications include medical tapes, industrial labels, and automotive vibration damping systems.

Advanced Features

Initial tack >20 N/25mm (FINAT FTM 9) with zero residue upon removal.

SAFT ≥125°C (ASTM D4498) and cold temperature flexibility down to -50°C.

≤0.5% weight loss after 1,000h @ 85°C (ASTM D5721), preventing adhesive hardening.

USP Class VI certified, ISO 10993 biocompatible, and free of BPA/phthalates.

Blends seamlessly with SIS/SBS hotmelts, acrylics, and rubber resins.

Application

Medical Adhesives:
ECG electrodes, wound care tapes, and transdermal patches (ISO 11608 compliant).

Industrial Tapes:
High-temperature masking tapes (UL 510 fire-rated).

Automotive NVH Control:
Vibration damping sheets for EV battery packs (SAE J2665 certified).

Hygiene Products:
