Polymethacrylate Pour Point Depressant T848

PMA Polymethacrylate Ppd Pour Point Depressants Lubricity Additive T848

Ultra-Low-Temperature Flow Enhancer for Next-Generation Lubricants

T848 is a highly efficient polymethacrylate type pour point depressant for lubricating oils.

Product Introduction

T848 has a good pour point depressing effect on paraffin-based and intermediate-based base oils, especially hydrorefined base oils, has good low-temperature performance, and also has the function of improving the viscosity index. It has the same performance as similar advanced products abroad. This product has good de-condensation effect with small addition amount; it is colorless and transparent; it has good anti-shear stability, high temperature thermal stability and anti-oxidation decomposition ability, and can provide long-term and continuous de-condensation effect; it has extremely small acid value and does not affect the quality of oil products, and is suitable for aviation hydraulic oil, hydraulic transmission oil, gear oil, transformer oil, low-condensation hydraulic oil, CNC machine tool hydraulic oil, special hydraulic oil and internal combustion engine oil and other oil products. Compared with foreign advanced products, it has higher cost performance and provides customers with better choices.

T848 is an advanced polymethacrylate-based pour point depressant engineered to deliver exceptional low-temperature fluidity and wax crystallization control in synthetic, bio-based, and high-paraffinic lubricants. With optimized molecular architecture, it enables reliable pumpability down to -55°C while maintaining thermal-oxidative stability up to 180°C. Key applications include arctic-grade engine oils, wind turbine hydraulic fluids, and bio-lubricants requiring extreme cold-weather performance.

Achieves -55°C pour point (ASTM D5949) and MRV TP-1 ≤25,000 cP @ -50°C (ASTM D4684) – 35% lower than conventional PPDs.

Reduces Wax Appearance Temperature (WAT) by 18–22°C (DSC ASTM D3418), preventing gelation in Group I/II base oils.

SSI ≤18 (ASTM D6278 KRL 30-cycle) – ideal for high-pressure hydraulic systems and extended drain intervals.

Stable in B100 biodiesel and HVO bases; inhibits sludge formation in ethanol-blended (E20) lubricants.

Zero phosphorus/sulfur; OECD 301F biodegradable option available.
