This PIB polyisobutene product is a non-volatile liquid with stable chemical properties. It will not form residues after high-temperature volatilization or thermal decomposition. This series of products has excellent thermal oxidation performance, is impermeable to water vapor and other gases, is hydrophobic, and has good shear resistance.
PIB polyisobutene 2400 can be used as drawing oil, gear oil, thickener, adhesive, plasticizer, release agent, etc.
Product Introduction
PIB polyisobutene 2400 is a high molecular weight polyisobutene (Mn: 2,200–2,600) engineered for applications requiring extreme water resistance, permanent elasticity, and chemical inertness. With optimized molecular architecture and narrow polydispersity (PDI ≤1.8), it delivers unparalleled performance in sealants, lubricating greases, and waterproofing systems operating from -60°C to 150°C.

Water vapor transmission ≤0.01 g/m²/day (ASTM E96) – 10x lower than standard butyl rubber.

98% elastic recovery after 10,000 compression cycles (ASTM D395).

Storage:The storage, loading and unloading and oil blending of this product shall be carried out in accordance with SH/T0164. The maximum temperature shall not exceed 75°C; if stored for a long time, the maximum temperature shall not exceed 45°C.
