Medium Speed Trunk Piston Marine Engine Oil Additives

Medium Speed Trunk Piston Marine Engine Oil Additives

Advanced Protection for Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) Operation in Marine Engines

It has excellent acid neutralization, cleaning and dispersing, anti-wear and anti-oxidation properties, strong anti-corrosion and anti-rust functions, and keeps the engine clean. It has excellent engine protection performance, which reduces the wear of the engine after long-term use.

The oil products with a viscosity of 30 and 40 and a base value of 12 are suitable for medium-quality fuels with an S content of less than 1.0%. 3015, 4015, and 4025 are suitable for heavy fuels with an S content of less than 2%, 3030 and 4030 are suitable for heavy fuels with an S content of less than 3%, and 4040 is suitable for heavy fuels with an S content of less than 3.5%.

Product Introduction

This high-performance lube oil additives marine package is engineered specifically for medium-speed trunk piston engines burning high-sulfur heavy fuel oil (HFO). Its calcium sulfonate and salicylate hybrid chemistry delivers unmatched acid neutralization, wear protection, and deposit control in saltwater-exposed environments where emulsification and corrosion are critical challenges.

Performance Advantages

Neutralizes sulfuric acid from high-sulfur fuels (≤5% S), reducing corrosive wear by 60% in ASTM D665 seawater corrosion tests.

Superior water separation (ASTM D1401: <0.5% emulsion after 30 min) prevents sludge formation in contaminated crankcases.

Reduces cylinder liner polishing by 45% via controlled ash (≤1.2%) to combat abrasive wear from HFO ash.

Limits piston crown carbon buildup by 55% vs. conventional additives (CEC L-101 at 300°C).

Our advanced lube oil additives marine solution chelates vanadium/copper ions from HFO combustion, preventing exhaust valve corrosion and extending engine life in demanding marine environments.
