FB/FC/FD Two-Stroke Motor Oil Additive Package Engine Lubricant Additives T5596

Two-Stroke Motor Oil Additive

T5596 has been developed for the formulation of two-stroke gasoline engine oils. RD5596 is formulated with excellent detergents, dispersants and other additives. Therefore, engine oils formulated with T5596 have excellent detergency and lubricity, low ash content and rust prevention properties, etc.

Product Introduction

T5596 is a next-generation cylinder lubrication additive engineered specifically for modern two-stroke marine engines operating under IMO 2020 global sulphur cap (≤0.5% S). Formulated with adaptive TBN technology and advanced deposit control agents, it ensures optimal acid neutralization, wear protection, and thermal stability across variable fuel sulfur levels—from VLSFO (Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil) to LNG dual-fuel applications. Developed for WinGD/X-DF engines, it extends overhaul intervals and prevents corrosive/scuffing wear in high-BMEP (Brake Mean Effective Pressure) conditions.

Key Features

Dynamic Alkalinity Control: TBN range 20–70 mgKOH/g (adjustable per fuel sulfur content), neutralizing acidic combustion byproducts without over-treating low-sulfur fuels. Prevents calcium sulfate deposits common in fixed-TBN oils.

Extended Drain Life: Reduces cylinder oil feed rate by 25–40% via optimized alkalinity retention and extended lubricant residence time on liner surfaces.

Chromium-Ceramic Synergy: Forms tribofilms compatible with chrome-ceramic piston rings and plateau-honed liners, reducing abrasive wear by >50% under >200 bar peak pressures.

Micro-Pitting Resistance: Molybdenum-carbide/borate additive package protects against cold-start scuffing in ECA (Emission Control Areas).

High-Temperature Cleanliness: Inhibits carbon/sludge formation ≤320°C via sulfonate detergents and sterically hindered phenols, critical for engines with increased Pmax (Peak Pressure).

EGR/Scavenge Air Compatibility: Minimizes deposit buildup in exhaust gas recirculation systems.

Compatible with 0.1–3.5% sulfur fuels, biofuels (B30), and LNG/methanol blends.

Application

Target Engines:

WinGD X-DF dual-fuel engines.

MAN B&W ME-C/ME-GI series.

Wärtsilä RT-flex systems.

Recommended Dosage

Dosage: 1.8–3.2% (base oil dependent); lower feed rates for LNG (0.8–1.2 g/kWh).

Shelf life:36 months (unopened)

12 months (opened, under nitrogen)

Safety:This product is non-flammable, non-explosive and non-corrosive. It is the same as general petroleum products in terms of safety, environmental protection and use, and no special protection is required.

Why Choose T5596?

Validated by WinGD’s Lubricant Approval System: Passed 12,000-hour field tests on vessels using 0.1% S VLSFO, showing liner wear rates ≤0.03 mm/kh1.

Optimized for Future Fuels: Stable with methanol (low soot adhesiveness) and LNG (low ash carryover).

Emission Compliance: Near-zero phosphorus (<0.01%) preserves SCR/EGR systems.

Technical Support & Samples

Formulation Guidance:

For hybrid LNG/VLSFO operation: Use mid-TBN (55 mgKOH/g) variant.

In high-load zones (e.g., >22 bar BMEP): Combine with 0.5% supplemental anti-wear agent.
