GL-5/GL-4/heayv/Medium load Universal Gear Oil Additive Packages For Lubricants T4201A

Universal Gear Oil Additive Packages

T4201A is used to formulate high load-carrying, low wear, energy-saving lubricants for automotive and industrial gear and bearing applications. Oils formulated with T4201A have excellent oxidative and thermal stability.

Product Introduction

T4201A is a multifunctional extreme-pressure (EP) additive package engineered for universal gear oils meeting API GL-5, MT-1, and ISO 12925-1 specifications. Combining advanced sulfur-phosphorus chemistry and polymeric friction modifiers, it delivers robust protection against micropitting, scuffing, and oxidative degradation in high-torque applications—from automotive axles to industrial wind turbine gearboxes. Compatible with mineral, synthetic (PAO/PAG), and bio-based lubricants.

Key Features

Synchronizer-Safe EP Agents: Sulfurized isobutylene/phosphorous esters provide >50% higher FZG scuffing load (Stage ≥12, DIN 51354) versus conventional additives while preventing copper corrosion (ASTM D130 ≤3b).

Micropitting Resistance: Nano-borate surface modification reduces surface fatigue by 35% in wind turbine gears (ISO 14635-1).

High-Temperature Film Strength: Maintains viscosity integrity ≤180°C via shear-stable polymeric additives, reducing oil thickening (Δkv100 ≤10% after 1,000h, DIN 51587).

Sludge Control: Ashless dispersants inhibit varnish formation in enclosed gearboxes.

Protects yellow metals (bronze bushings), sintered components, and carbon seals.

Fully compatible with common seal materials (FKM, NBR, ACM).

Organic molybdenum friction modifiers lower operating temperatures by ≤15°C and reduce gear noise by 4–8 dB(A).

Application

Target Systems:

Automotive: Hypoid axles, manual transmissions (API GL-5/MT-1).

Industrial: Cement mill reducers, mining conveyors, wind turbine gearboxes (ISO 12925-1 CKD/CKJ).

Why Choose T4201A?

OEM Validated: Exceeds ZF FVNS-2 (axle efficiency) and Flender A.01.01 (wind turbine micropitting) specifications.

Eco-Adaptability: Bio-degradable components available for environmentally sensitive zones (ISO 15380).

Synthetic Optimization: 25% lower treat rate required in PAO/PAG base oils versus mineral oils.

Technical Support & Samples

Formulation Guidance:

For electric vehicle reduction gears: Reduce sulfur to 0.8% + add 0.5% conductive agent (enhances e-motor cooling).

In sub-zero arctic operations (–45°C): Blend with PAO base oil + 1.2% polymethacrylate pour depressant.
