CNG/LNG/CF Low Ash Natural Gas Engine Oil Additive Packages
Low Ash Natural Gas Engine Oil Additive Packages
It effectively controls the formation of oil deposits and meets the requirements of oil anti-wear, anti-oxidation and low ash content. It is suitable for modulating high-pressure output mobile compressed natural gas (CNG) engine lubricating oil.
Product Introduction
This premium engine oil additive is a specialized low-ash additive package engineered for natural gas (NG) and biogas engine oils, compliant with API CK-4/FA-4 and OEM specifications (Caterpillar 35268, Cummins CES 20092). It addresses the unique challenges of gas combustion—high temperatures, nitric acid corrosion, and spark plug fouling—while minimizing ash content to protect after-treatment systems (DPF, SCR). Ideal for stationary power gensets, LNG transport, and dual-fuel marine engines operating under ISO 11009 standards.
Key Features
- Ultra-Low Ash Formulation
Sulfated Ash ≤6.5% – Prevents spark plug fouling and exhaust valve recession, extending maintenance intervals by 2–3× compared to conventional oils.
Optimized TBN (≥40 mgKOH/g) – Neutralizes nitric acids from lean-burn combustion without ash accumulation in SCR/DPF systems. This advanced engine oil additive ensures long-term system protection.
- Critical Component Protection
Anti-Wear Synergy: Molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate (MoDTC) and ashless anti-wear agents reduce valve seat wear by >45% under >250°C peak temperatures.
Piston Cleanliness: Calcium sulfonate detergents inhibit carbon deposits ≤300°C, maintaining ring flexibility and preventing blow-by gas leakage.
- Oxidation & Thermal Stability
Hindered Phenol + Ashless Antioxidants – Control viscosity growth (Δkv100 ≤1.5 mm²/s after 500h) in continuous high-load operation.
Hydrolytic Stability – Resists moisture-induced degradation from biogas contaminants (e.g., H₂S, CO₂).
- Emission System Compatibility
Near-zero phosphorus (<0.03%) and sulfur (<0.2%) – Ensures long-term SCR catalyst efficiency and compliance with EPA Tier 4/IMO III. This engine oil additive is designed for modern emission standards.
Application
This specialized engine oil additive delivers exceptional performance in:
Lean-burn NG gensets (GE Jenbacher, Wärtsilä).
Dual-fuel marine engines (MAN ME-GI, WinGD X-DF).
Biogas engines (Caterpillar G3500, Deutz TCG 2020).
