Sulfurized Isobutylene Extreme Pressure Additives In Gear Oils
Advanced Extreme Pressure Additive for Industrial Lubricants
Premium Extreme Pressure Lubrication Solutions
This sulfurized isobutylene additive provides superior extreme pressure lubrication with high sulfur content, excellent EP performance, and good oil solubility. With its light color and good compatibility with phosphorus compounds, it offers advanced extreme pressure lubrication while maintaining relatively low corrosion to metals. This product is compounded with other sulfur, phosphorus and nitrogen agents to be the main agent of sulfur-phosphorus type gear oil. It can be used to prepare medium and high-grade vehicle gear oil and industrial gear oil, metal processing oil, rock drilling oil, grease and other products requiring extreme pressure lubrication.
Extreme Pressure Lubrication Introduction
This Sulfurized Isobutylene is a high-performance sulfurized olefin additive engineered to deliver extreme pressure (EP) protection, anti-wear properties, and oxidation stability in severe operating conditions. Utilizing controlled sulfurization technology, it forms sacrificial films for superior extreme pressure lubrication on metal surfaces to prevent scuffing, pitting, and micropitting. Key applications include industrial gear oils, metalworking fluids, and heavy-duty greases exposed to high loads and temperatures.
Key Technologies
- Extreme Pressure Protection
Achieves >50% higher weld load (ASTM D2783: 4,500 N) vs. conventional sulfurized additives, preventing gear tooth failure under shock loads.
- Thermal-Oxidative Stability
Reduces sludge by 40% at 150°C (ASTM D2893), extending oil life in high-temperature gearboxes.
- Multi-Metal Compatibility
Protects ferrous and non-ferrous metals (copper corrosion ASTM D130 Rating 1b).
- Low Odor & Eco-Compliant
Optimized sulfur bonding minimizes volatile sulfur emissions (H₂S <5 ppm), meeting OSHA safety standards.
- Synergistic Performance
Enhances ZDDP/borate additives while resisting hydrolysis in water-containing fluids.
