High Molecular Weight Polyisobutylene Succinimide T161

T161 High Molecular Weight Polyisobutylene Succinimide Dispersants In Engine Oil

Ultra-Performance Ashless Dispersant for Severe Engine Conditions

T161 is made of highly active polyisobutylene and is produced by thermal addition process. It has high temperature mud dispersibility and can inhibit the formation of carbon deposits and paint films on piston oil pistons. Its high temperature dispersibility is comparable to traditional T154 and T155 products.

Product Introduction

T161 is a high molecular weight (Mn >2300) polyisobutylene succinimide ashless dispersant engineered to combat sludge, varnish, and carbon deposits in extreme-temperature engines. Leveraging advanced PIB polymerization technology, it delivers superior soot handling and deposit control for extended drain intervals. Key applications include heavy-duty diesel oils, hybrid/electric drivetrains, and biofuel-exposed lubricants.

PIB backbone (Mn 2300–2500) provides 40% higher soot dispersion vs. standard succinimides (per ASTM D7218).

Maintains dispersancy integrity at 280°C+ (reduces turbo varnish by 60% in Mack T-11 tests).

Boron content (≥0.4% wt.) enhances anti-wear performance and oxidation stability (ASTM D2893).

Zero phosphorus, sulfur <0.2%, sulfated ash <0.5% for Euro VII/China VI compatibility.

Prevents sludge formation in B100 biodiesel and E85 ethanol blends (ASTM D7548 validated).

Application

Heavy-Duty Diesel Oils: API CK-4/FA-4 (controls soot-induced viscosity increase).

Hybrid Drivetrain Fluids: E-motor cooling oils with 100,000+ km drain capability.

Marine Engines: MAN ES 40-60BN cylinder oils (reduces scavenge port deposits).

Gas Engine Lubricants: CNG/LNG formulations (compatible with NOx aftertreatment).

100% Bio-Lubricants: ISO 15380 HEES hydraulic fluids.

Reference Dosage

Recommended Dosage: 1–10% (adjust based on base oil and performance targets).
